| The Ingenieurburo Dr. Hillger was founded in 1984 and develops special ultrasonic imaging systems for high-tech materials like composites, ceramics and materials with high sound damping as concrete components. These materials require special adaptations of ultrasonic testing in order to get results with a high degree of evidence. The high resolution and high dynamic range is also useful for metallic components especially for thin parts (electrical relais contacts).
Highlights are high frequency imaging systems up to 120 MHz, ultrasonic (imaging) systems based on PC-boards (MUSE: Mobile UltraSonic Equipment) and air-coupled systems. The software WinHillgus enables easy handled ultrasonic inspections and presents the results in A-, B-, Bt-, C- and D-scans. Different types of manual scanning and motor driven manipulators are available.
The HFUS2000 imaging system is used for the vertical stabiliser inspection of the Airbus Aeroplane .
