ECHOMETER 1074
Wall Thickness Gauging - Secure Measurement and Reliable Documentation
Whether in the laboratory, in the production or in the assembly shop, or outside on the building site: The new wall thickness gauge ECHOMETER 1074 from KARL DEUTSCH Prüf- und Meßgerätebau Wuppertal can easily and safely measure wall thicknesses of steel, metals, or plastic parts. The large LC display with 10.2 mm high numbers can be illuminated by pressing a button, thus enabling a safe reading of measured values. The built-in data logger permits a storage up to 3800 measured values within 99 batches, which means a reliable documentation even in situ. For reading-out of stored data and for their further processing in a PC, a comfortable and easy to handle WINDOWS program is available.
The gauge operates with TR probes and can be used as well for quality control during the manufacture as also to measure tanks and pipelines which have inside corrosion. Besides a standard probe for the most common wall thicknesses between 1.2 and 250 mm, a special high-resolution probe for thin-walled parts from 0.7 to 25 mm, and a low-frequency probe for a wall thickness up to 400 mm are available, too. The built-in automatic circuitry ensures an easy operation: The probe type being in use, at the first time of contact with a reference part inserted in the housing, is automatically identified and differences in sensitivity and characteristics are compensated. The 150 g light-weight but sturdy and splash-proof instrument may even be operated by one hand only. The required instrument functions are selected by means of the display and switched on or off with the ENTER key. With an indication resolution switchable between 0.1 and 0.01 mm, a limit supervision with acoustic alert mode, over 200 hrs. of operation with common batteries, wear resisting probes of high sensitivity, and a favourable price, the new ECHOMETER 1074, together with the furthermore available, simpler model ECHOMETER 1071 (without data logger, interface and illumination) will be the Best Buy concerning modern measuring techniques and economy.
