As a part of the same program, a number of people from the university and industry were trained and certified in various methods to level-3 in Germany. With participation of these people the NDT Committee made an activity plan for the establishment of a Turkish NDT Society. To this end, the working groups: training, qualification exams and certification, technical rules, industrial relations were established. For the recognition of this body, a Quality Manual was written in 1995.

Parallel to the improvements in the related international standards an independent certification body, named as "NDT-Personnel Certification Center", was established in 1996. Since 1996 the training and certification activities have been carrying out independently.

The Administrative Board of the CME has delegated some of its power to the Administrative Board of the NDT Committee, so that the head of the committee is able to conduct relations, to sign agreement and to expand money on behalf of the Chamber. Therefore the NDT Committee has become partially independent legal entity in the field of NDT.

Till the end of 1997 the total number of participants attended the courses of different levels on NDT methods has reached to 1250.

The sectorial distribution of the participants since 1988, machining and construction (27%), chemical and petrochemical (15%), defence (14%), university - institutions (12%), metal (9%), NDT service (8%), energy (8%), transportation (5%), ship building (2%). The Committe aims to continue its activities on training, qualification, and certification in compliance with EN 473 and anticipates the establishment of Turkish NDT Society by providing the supports and contribution of the relevant associations and institutes.

Upon request, all NDT training courses can be organized in English language.
