Tektrend’s Lab-sized CUB (Complete Ultrasonic Basin) is designed specifically
for use in a laboratory environment. The tank is constructed in acrylic rather than
welded steel, which means that operators can observe inspection from all angles.
Like our full-sized industrial CUBs, the Lab CUB can be configured for basic
2D, complex 2˝D, or true 3D contour following using our exclusive ARIUSä
software.The control computer manages all operations, including scanner, data acquisition, and analysis. The system is comprised of:
- An acrylic immersion tank
- Electronic assembly, housing:
- Motor Amplifiers
- Computers: The computer assembly will serve to scan and acquire data and permit viewing and analysis. One will be equipped with a modem and the ARIUTM software and both will include network cards.
- Ultrasonic Instrumentation, including:
- Pulser/receiver
- Position Match Generator Card
- Motion Controller
- Ink-jet printer
