“Developing industrial sales expertise is a major goal for 2002,” said John Brenna, CTI President and Chief Operating Officer. “We welcome Mark with his very broad experience in the gas and turbine markets, as we extend our industrial reach.”
Emmet brings more than 16 years of industrial sales experience to CTI. His background spans sales of aerospace materials and components, engine instrumentation, power transmission equipment, and machinery to aerospace, aviation, commercial engine, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), and gas turbine companies.
Prior to joining Computerized Thermal Imaging, Emmet served as a sales manager for Instrumentation Specialties, Inc. where he developed a new customer diversification strategy and increased sales volume by more than 200%. There, he launched a new technology to major engine manufacturers with an 80% account penetration rate. Previously, Emmet was sales and marketing manager at IMC Magnetics, where he managed an international sales team that led to $20 million in annual sales. Prior to that, Emmet spent more than a decade leading sales efforts at Atlantic Tracy/Motion Industries, managing an inventory of 600 product lines; Thermo Electron Tecomet, penetrating new accounts; and New Hampshire Ball Bearings, an $80 million manufacturer of precision bearings for aerospace and commercial clients where Emmet maintained a $29 million account base.
At CTI, Emmet will focus on customer satisfaction. CTI strives to understand its customers’ unique conditions and requirements, in order to develop complete, customized solutions that meet their inspection needs.
Today’s announcement comes on the heels of Computerized Thermal Imaging's latest advancement for the industrial market, its Automated Thermal Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) System. Based on proprietary, patent-pending technologies developed by CTI’s industrial subsidiary, Bales Scientific, this system allows a new way to analyze and inspect industrial components. Featuring an extremely sensitive, high-performance camera with sophisticated image analysis software, the system works by using thermal imaging to dynamically detect, measure, and evaluate a component’s external and internal properties.
