Press Release; May 20, 2002 – Syncretek LLC, distributor of advanced interferometric engineering measurement technology (manufactured by Steinbichler Optotechnik GmbH), and Link Engineering Inc, test system developer and testing services provider, announced today a joint demonstration of Pulse ESPI technology at the Link Testing Laboratory in Detroit, Michigan. The demonstration will run from July 2002 through October 2002. Pulse ESPI technology uses full-field interferometric measurement technology to provide high resolution, high speed, full-field operating deflection shape of parts and assemblies. Pulse ESPI systems measure both in-plane and out-of-plane motion (even on rotating parts), instantly providing a complete map of the system dynamics. By combining this measurement technology with the advanced automatic test capability of the Link dynamometers, this joint demonstration offers a complete test and experimental capability for brake squeal, brake and chassis vibrations, and transmission parts.
Link Testing Laboratories in Detroit is the largest independent testing laboratory of its type in the world. Providing 29 full-scale dynamometers, material characterization testers, custom test capabilities, vehicle test programs, and complete friction material, brake, and transmission test capabilities. Our NVH Center of Excellence offers dynamometers, test chambers, instrumentation, and analysis expertise to perform a wide array of evaluations.
