This data is collected at the Tressange Iron Mine in France. This site consists of a layer of argillaceous claystone rocks that is the target horizon for the experiment. This provides a unique data set of ultrasonic measurements collected in situ. The data set also provides a validation of the OMNIBUS technology and the use of AE and ultrasonic methods in argillaceous rock-types. The data and results provide a data set for understanding the behaviour of argillaceous rock and its response to variations in the ambient stress field. Undertaking these experiments provides the partners with technical expertise and know-how that can be exploited for future consulting services.
