As a result art conservation lacks novel alternative tools for structural diagnostics caged in tools of fragmented applicability and information value. The proposed laser technology is based on n on destructive techniques of the same fundamental physical principles integrated in one multitask sensor-device allowing investigation flexibility according the conservation problem and independently of shape, surface texture, size and distance between subject and sensor. The project will develop novel instrumentation and standardised methodology protocols elaborating in synergy with existing methods and practices.
