KARL DEUTSCH booth during the Tube+Wire Show 2006 in Duesseldorf. Highlight of the booth was the exhibited ultrasonic testing mechanics for the inspection of large-diameter pipes with longitudinal weld. ECHOGRAPH ultrasonic testing system during the inspection of a large diameter pipe (Julong Steel Pipe, China). The testing mechanics is placed on top of the weld. The pipe is moved by means of a pipe carriage along the testing mechanics. Many sensors produce and receive ultrasound and detect cracks and inclusions within the weld seam. The evaluation of the test results and the data recording is carried out in an automated manner.
