Bankruptcy for three Fokker Companies Fokker Aviation B.V. to continue


As from March 18th 1996 Fokker Aviation B V. has started operations with the viable parts remaining from the N V. Koninkiijke Nederlandse Vliegtuigenfabriek Fokker, Fokker Aircraft B.V. and Fokker Administration B.V. which have been declared bankrupt on March 15th last.

Fokker Aviaton B.V. will contain approximately 2000 employees and is active in the Defence, Civil Aerospace and industrial Markets. Fokker Aviation consists of the following operating companies Fokker Aerostructures, Fokker Special Products, Fokker Aircraft Services and Fokker ELMO.

Fokker Aerostructures B.V. will concentrate on the Sales and Marketing, Engineering and Manufacturing of major structural parts and components as well as Industrial Products and N.D.T. equipment like the Fokker Bondtester and the Fokker Stack Tester.

On the basis of their market postion the above mentioned working companies are viable and profitable even now that Fokker's aircraft integration programs are to be discontinued. The group will realize a turnover of approximately NLG 1 billion within a few years independent financing has been assured for the group. The shares vvill be held by a foundation it is the intention that Fokker Aviation shall seek affiliation with another company in order to strengthen the position of the group.

With the transfer of the lndustrial Products Department to Fokker Aerostructeres, the delivery of N.D.T. Equipment and accessories as well as the support to instruments already delivered have been safeguarded for the future.
