Next Weekly IRC #NDT Topic: "Novel Methods for Generating Ultrasound"
Some of the novel methods of ultrasound generation that I am aware of are:
1. Lasers
2. Ion beams
3. Sparks
4. Dropping small balls
5. Breakage of pencil lead and glass
6. Conical transducers
7. E-mats

I would like to discuss the relative merits and application of the above and other methods. The discussion will be on Wednesday, May 29 from 7:30 am to 8:30 am EST on the IRC channel #NDT. You must use any of the many "Efnet" IRC servers to connect to #NDT.
