COATING THICKNESS MEASUREMENT INSIDE COILED TUBING.N
Posted by: Roderic K Stanley , E-mail: rstanley@qualitytubing.com, on August 16, 1999 at 21:22:07 :We make carbon steel coiled tubing. Someone has sated he can coat it internally with a plastic layer 0.020 in thick. Does anyone have a device that can run 10,000 ft through coiled tubing on a spool and determine the coating thickness. It ought to be possible with eddy current stand-off sensors mounted in a 'pig" , with a lot of electronics to store the data.
