In industrial RT For proper recommendations about energy selection and relevant thickness limitation on steel materials,you can refer to some code/standards(such as BS/EN1435 or old version of ASMEsec.5-before 1998),ASNT RT handbook,ASM handbook(vol.17)and others reference books.
2%sensitivity means : as a RT quality criteria and be checked by IQI,is 2% of test material thickness which is minimum detectable defect size through thickness.
you may obtain 2% sensitivity by x-ray or gamma-ray.
You can refer to ASM handbook(vol.17).
