: Contract documentation should specify if there are any limitations further than the moninated Code. So the Owner's specification may say "X-ray only", even though the Codes usually permit either X or gamma within material thickness limitations. Low kV X-ray gives better images in most cases than commercially available gamma sources, though I have read that Selenium can give good results on thinner materials.
: Your required visible wire is one that indicates better then 2% sensitivity so its diameter should be less than 6.55mm x 0.02 = 0.131mm or 7.11mm x 0.02 = 0.142mm
