It would normally be unfocused, unless yours is further customized with a focused lens. It is a 500 KHz narrowband transducer with a design bandwidth of 60%. As with any transducer, resolution and sensitivity will be specific to a given test (instrument, pulser/receiver setup, and test material) and thus highly variable, however by design these are high sensitivity, low frequency transducers with relatively slow ringdown. Beam spread angle for this or any transducer is dependent on the velocity of the test medium, but for an unfocused A3441 in water it would be 4.5 degrees for the half-angle (beam centerline to outer ray at -6dB) or 9 degrees for the full included angle. Near field length would be approximately 30 mm in water, and shorter of course in materials with higher sound velocities.
