hi rolf
yes it was me i am sorry but the internet is a bit new to me
coming up to my 60s it takes a bit of getting used to.as i said
we had the same problem in 1976 nothing seems to have changed.
i tried eddy current, ultrasonics, surface waves with no success.
the wheels we had problems with were tyred.we finely went back to
to wheel tapping and surface inspection,we seemed to have had success
i left for australia in 1980 so i dont know what the story is now.
but with modern technology, there must me a solution,45 from the side
perhaps.we at that time did have a lot of problems with loose tyres
during the autumm season with flats.i must also say that br were very
much into taking on ndt, more so than when i started in 1968 then we
a bit of a nuisance.i enjoy looking at some of the articles,

regards john
