Whee automated welding processes are used i.e. automated GMAW, ultrasonics has become the preferred method of inspection. High speed UT paint brush scanninng primarily based on zonal discrimination as concieved in Canada is widely used.
There are a number of service companies around the world offering services some of which have already posted responses.
If you want to aquire equipment you can look up people such as RD-Tech Canada and Automated Inspection Systems California.
Systems can be expensive so you need to think carefully. We have worked with several operators wishing to convert to using this technology.
