Specific Gamma Constant Intensity

Posted by: William Blum , E-mail: wblum@ndt-cgi.com, on November 13, 2004 at 17:10 :

One reference (Gamma Radiation Safety Study Guide, Second Edition, Joe Bush) gives the above for IR192 as 5.2 R/hour at one foot. Another (Gamma Radiography, AEA Technology) states 5.9 R/hour at one foot. Can anyone give a good reference that might tell me which is correct or at least explain the discrepancy?

Thanks,
