Applications for a broadband air ultrasound transducer

Posted by: Dipl.-Ing. Martin Heinz Profile , E-mail: heinz@ibmt.fhg.de, on April 28, 1999 at 11:38:12 :

We have developed an air ultrasound transducer (mean frequency:
166 kHz, 6 dB-bandwidth: > 18 %, pulse length < 25 µs) and we
are now searching for applications, which need these special
features of the transducer and which can not be solved satisfying
by using transducers with small bandwidth.
The original application was flow measurement of gases with
hight resolutions, using a correlation procedure (the transducer
sends and receives barker-code modulated 5-cycle bursts).

Who has further ideas for applications or needs such transducers?
