Hopefully when reaching the decision to bury the vessel the engineers will have taken into account the difficulty of periodic inspection. Perhaps considering its construction, service conditions, corrosion potential a reasoned engineering decision was arrived at that it would not require periodic inspection. Then again maybe they just had a hole dug and dropped it in!!!
