NDE testing + Image Enhancement
Posted by: Anjani Achanta , E-mail: aa9p9@umr.edu, on November 18, 2003 at 07:06 :I am pursuing my master¡¦s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Missouri ¡V Rolla at present and will be available by December 2003.
You will see from my resume that I have an excellent background in NDE & T. My under-graduate degree was in Mechanical Engineering and I am researching in the field of Signal processing of Ultrasonic Data for my masters. I have endeavored to enhance my understanding in the field of NDE. Consider this for an example:„« Three years of extensive working experience on ultrasonic immersion testing equipment (Digital Wave C-Scan Machine). Conducted numerous tests on metals and composites to detect flaws and discontinuities
„« Developed innovative algorithms for detecting flaws in bonded composite patch repairs of aging airframes using advanced signal processing techniques like Wavelet Packet Analysis.
„« Hands-on experience on Stress Photonics Thermography equipment, Acoustic emission equipment for the purpose of damage detection in aging aircraft structures
„« Extensively used advanced state-of-the art equipment like Zetec Eddy Current Instrument, Laser Technology Inc. Shearography Equipment as part of teaching experience gained while working on Aging Aircraft Project funded by USAF
„« Employed Neural Networks (Fuzzy Logic) methods for pattern recognition problems of NDE data for structural health monitoring applications
„« Apart from these, knowledge of advanced manufacturing tools such as Design of Experiments, Industrial Management, Operations Research, Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma Process Control and DFM/DFA as a mechanical engineer
„« Successfully published the results obtained form the innovative algorithms developed, at International Conferences (SPIE)
I can articulate myself well to a wide range of audiences. I view myself as somewhat of a troubleshooter. If you are seeking an engineer who stays abreast of her field, who understands technology, and who is as career-committed as it takes to achieve total success, then please consider what I have to offer. I may be contacted at (573) 647-1073 or aa9p9@umr.edu . Thank you, again, for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Anjani Rao Achanta
