PD Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Geophys. C.U. GROSSE born in 1961, studied Geophysics at the University of Karlsruhe. He finished his thesis in July 1996 ("NDT in civil engineering") and his Habilitation in 2005. From 1994 to 2007 he was a research member (scientific assistent) at the Institute of Construction Materials, University of Stuttgart, Germany, and finally head of the non-destructive testing group of this institute.
Since 2007 he is head of the Department 43 "Non-destructive Testing and Monitoring Techniques" and head of the Division 4 "Protection of Buildings and Plants" of the Materialprüfungsanstalt Universität Stuttgart (MPA). He is member of the board directors of the MPA.
