: Is there an ultrasonic method to verify the quenching rate (or quenching quality) of aluminum heat-treating alloy.

Dear Andre,
I think that there is a method, using a RESONANT ULTRASOUND SPECTROMETER
(RU Spec) marketed by Quatrosonics in the USA.
This instrument can measure Shear Modulus, Young's Modulus, Bulk Modulus,
Poisson's Ratio and the Density in one measurement, with an accuracy of not
less than 0.1% (according to their brochure).
I am sure that these measurements will give you the information that you
need.
If you need more information, please contact me.

Regards,

Godfrey Hands
