We are currently researching ultrasonic methods of determining
condition of heat-damaged 7050 Al. Results will be shown at IEEE
Ultrasonics meeting in October in Toronto. There is some mechanical
testing and microstructure determination left to do, but results look
promising. If you contact me I would be happy to provide more info
and preprints when available.
