Hi,
Performance checks of Penetrant Systems are usually an Aerospace requirement.
There are written procedures within the Aerospace companies documentations that specifies how these tests should be performed and how often.

NDT CDonsultants Ltd. in the UK is a world-wide provider of NDT Specialist services, especially to the Aerospace industry, and if this is for aerospace apoplications, I suspect that there will also be other issues which will need addressing.

The correct component to address this performance check is a "TAM" panel, and we market these at GB£282.00 plus shipping should you require one, otherwise we will be pleased to offer our aerospace authorised and approved NDT Level III services.

Regards,

Godfrey Hands

Re: PT performance check
General items that need to be checked can be found in ASTM E 1417.
