I'm just starting my carress in ultrasonic level 1, is there any good books or sample quizzes for practices that i can use out there. I'm from canada.

Ro I wish you a long and interesting career in NDT. If you look on the various NDT societies web pages (ASNT, CSNDT, BINDT - you can Google them) they all have book pages where you can decide what suits your pocket. Before you buy from the institutes you can check to see if any are cheaper on eBAy or Amazon.

From a British perspective J C Drury's "Ultrasonic Flaw Detection for Technicians" and Ron Halmshaw's "Mathematics and Formulae for NDT" are excellent handbooks to help you get started practically.

An extra piece of advice is always to read around the subject - materials and metallurgy, design, welding processes, QA/QC, corrosion and its control. Dont forget Codes and Standards - ASME, EN's, API. Join your Instiitute as a student to subscribe to their journal and possibly obtain discounts on publications, training courses, seminars.

A friend of mine knows a website which he can pull all the questions and answer on NDT testings, for example I am looking for multiple choice quetions on Ultrasonic testing "general knowledge ultrasonic" level one study. If anyone know the site other than the website recommended by David Lavastre please let me know. Thanks
