Phased array

Dear colleagues,

Is there any Phased Array portable instrument has ability to produce Linear spread scan for weld inspection purpose instead of Sectorial or Electronic scan?

Mark, by "linear spread scan" do you mean Full Matrix Capture? This is primarily a software feature applied to phased-array units. Several of the main UT Phased-array equipment suppliers have this capability. A search for Full Matrix Capture on the search box of NDT.net can give you some ideas of who is using it.

Linear spread scan is basic function of PA application. We can talk about the details on what kind of objects you'd like to deal with and how you deal with it?

Glad that Ed isn't familiar with this term either.

This is why standardised terminology is so important.
