In continuation of my previous comment, use a 5 MHz or 4 MHz dual probe and scan from the the OD surface. For calibration, use the reference as per your specification. Normally it should be a 3 mm flat bottom hole machined in the clad from the ID surface. Any questions, let me know.

I have read this more than once today and my question is can this be UT with 5 or 4Mhz transducer in a as clad state not machined ?? if the cal standard is made the same way

Yes, UT is done in the as clad state. Calibration standard is made the same way as the pipe being inspected or as per T 434.4.2 of ASME V.
