Daniel,

Currently for the NRCan CGSB Examination Practical you need to set up on a Calibration tube for F90 and Conductivity determination as part of the level 1's and 2 Tubes, a Surface Scan, a Multilayer Scan using a ring probe and the Level 1's if going direct to Level 2.

Hope this helps you could always look at the NRCan Website as well at http://www.nrcan.gc.ca/mining-materials/non-destructive-testing/19537

Cheers...
James

James, so definitely no weld samples like in the PCN welds exam? Where we get fillets, butts and cruciform samples

ET Level 2 Practical examination.

For general Practical (½ day):

Resistivity/Calibration checks.

Same as Level 1. From level 1 practical examination:

Includes measuring resistivity of 2 samples
calibrating one absolute probe for plate inspection
calibrating one absolute and one differential probe for tube inspection.

For EMC Practical Multi-Sector (1 ½ days):

Inspect 4 specimens:
2 tubes and 2 aerospace
samples (1 fastened assembly & 1 wheel section).
Prepare technique records and write one detailed instruction.

Good luck with your exam!

Sincerely,
Hamid
