eddy current testing

Dear friends
iam working with eddy current testing on wire , while testing drawn wire always get high defects from circograph(rotating probe type) with phase angle (78-84 & 258-265) but find no defect on samples we take from coil and some times we find partial decarburization of less than 20micron which is allowed as per our standard , is it possible to determine the depth of defect with phase angle which we get from eddy test report or eliminate sector of these phase while testing but we doubt natural defect with this phase may skip.

Thanks
