Standards of Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing

Hi guys !

Can someone say me what all the standards are available for Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing?

This is a question nearly impossible to answer.
It depends on industry and materials....
But you may search through the ASNT Pages or go to ASTM and search for NDT and Ultrasonic: https://www.astm.org/search/fullsite-search.html?query=ndt%20ultrasonic&resStart=0&resLength=10&toplevel=products-and-services&sublevel=standards-and-publications&dltype=allstd&

You find a collection of Standards giving a good overview. As PAUT is a subgroup of ultrasonics, you need all UT stnadards too.

Same you may do for EN-Standards and ISO, but the differences are marginal.

But there are a lot of industrial specific Standards, often set by Industry leading OEMs. So is in aeronautics, where you have to stick to Standards of e.g. Airbus or Boeing, as their fields of application are often not covered and the OEM is responsible to establish a common System for all suppliers and risk sharing Partners.

E.g. for specific material as CFRP no other than the big companies have such a long industrial experience in that field, so that even Research Institutes are often Greenhorns in that field; they miss the in-service experience and the high volume production expereince.

Product Spotlight

Echomac® Small

Available with up to eight channels of electronics to detect and evaluate thickness, flaws and eccen
tricity, this UT tester is housed in a convenient, smaller cabinet. This instrument can be used in conjunction with bubbler or immersion tank systems, or with a test bench or in laboratory applications. The Echomac® Small is available in the FD4, FD6 or FD6A versions.

Varex Imaging Large Field of View (FOV) Digital Detector Arrays (DDAs)

A larger FOV DDA can reduce the space and volume of the X-ray inspection system on the factory floor
, enable faster scanning times, better throughput and better resolution images at a lower dose. Customers can also save time and money. With these benefits in mind, Varex Imaging has designed a family of large FOV detectors (4343HE, XRD 1611, 4343DX-I, 4343CT) for our industrial imaging customers.

M2M PANTHER is a phased-array equipment designed for both desktop and industrial applications, offer
ing unparalleled performance in a compact unit. It combines the speed required for industrial integrated Phased-Array Ultrasound (PAUT) solutions, with the most complete set of total focusing method (TFM) imaging techniques, making it the ultimate tool for R&D and procedure qualification.

Scalable small footprint X-ray inspection systems for assembly and laboratory applications. The
YXLON Cougar EVO series was designed to provide the "best-in- class" inspection solutions for SMT, semiconductor, and laboratory assembly applications, while maintaining a small system footprint for maximum convenience. With optimized software and hardware, these systems produce higher quality and more consistent results than other electronics inspection systems currently on the market.
