Standards of Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing

Hi guys !

Can someone say me what all the standards are available for Ultrasonic Phased Array Testing?

This is a question nearly impossible to answer.
It depends on industry and materials....
But you may search through the ASNT Pages or go to ASTM and search for NDT and Ultrasonic: https://www.astm.org/search/fullsite-search.html?query=ndt%20ultrasonic&resStart=0&resLength=10&toplevel=products-and-services&sublevel=standards-and-publications&dltype=allstd&

You find a collection of Standards giving a good overview. As PAUT is a subgroup of ultrasonics, you need all UT stnadards too.

Same you may do for EN-Standards and ISO, but the differences are marginal.

But there are a lot of industrial specific Standards, often set by Industry leading OEMs. So is in aeronautics, where you have to stick to Standards of e.g. Airbus or Boeing, as their fields of application are often not covered and the OEM is responsible to establish a common System for all suppliers and risk sharing Partners.

E.g. for specific material as CFRP no other than the big companies have such a long industrial experience in that field, so that even Research Institutes are often Greenhorns in that field; they miss the in-service experience and the high volume production expereince.
