The equipment inspector or inspection specialist is generally responsible for gathering data on the condition and history of equipment in the study. This data should include the design condition when new and the current condition. Generally, this information will be located in equipment inspection and maintenance files. If condition data is unavailable, the inspector/specialist, in conjunction with the corrosion specialist, should provide predictions of the current condition. The inspector/specialist is also responsible for assessing the effectiveness of past inspections. The equipment inspector/inspection specialist is usually responsible for implementing the recommended inspection plan derived from the RBI assessment.

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented team member with knowledge of inspection codes, standards and work practices as well as damage mechanisms and plant processes. They will be current on their API 510 Certification and will have training and experience in API 580 Risk Based Inspection practices and software tools.

Primary Responsibilities:
Gathers equipment data
Develops and updates Activity Plans and Activity Work Packages
Performs condition monitoring activities and makes recommendations

Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills:
Inspection Codes and Standards
Inspection Work Practices
At least on API Certification 510, 570, and/or 653, depending on equipment type
Degradation Mechanisms
Understand Current Plant Processes

Travel potentially up to 75%

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
