07:45 Nov-15-2014 Interpretation of echo static and echo dynamic pattern combinations
My name is Sean Peterssen im a PCN level 2 Ultrasonic technician, I am looking for info or books on interperation and characterisation of echo static and echo dynamic combinations with pictures. Thank you and Regards Sean.

In 1986 The Welding Insitute, on behalf of the International Institute of Welding, produced a 50 page A5 booklet entitled "Evaluation of ultrasonic signals". This dealt exclusively with signals from flaws in welds.
Of particular interest are 7 pages of diagrams depicting typical echodynamic patterns expected from different flaw types. Its objective was to assist the operator to "..make an estimate of a defect's through-thickness size, even for very small defects."
SIUI’s newly launched SyncScan 2, is a high-end ultrasonic flaw
detector with 32:128PR PAUT and
2-ch TOFD, which can maximize your
efficiency for PA and TOFD.
● Support PA/TOFD/UT
● 32-ch PA is more suitable for inspection on extra-thick wall and
● 32-ch PA and 2-ch TOFD work simultaneously.
● Support PR mode for corrosion inspection.
The Cygnus 6+ PRO thickness gauge is the most advance gauge within
the Cygnus range with key featu
res including: comprehensive data
logging; A-scan and B-scan display; manual gain control; Bluetooth
connectivity; and much more. With its unique dual display and three
measuring modes (Multiple-Echo, Echo-Echo and Single-Echo), this
surface thickness gauge offers maximum versatility for inspections.
