Ultrasonic energy distribution and calculation

I am writing this inquiry from Fremont California where I work
for Seagate Technology. I would like to calculate/model the
various components of ultrasonic energy distribution
inside a fluid ( radiation pressure, cavitation, micro-streaming)
while trying to clean a surface?
Can the data obtained from hydrophone measurements be de-coupled
to extract some of the components?
Thanks in advance for your response.

Dear Amber,
I am working on a quite equal project. We want to
produce ultrasonic streaming in liquid metals. In
a first step we build up a high intenstiy focusing
ultrasound source for streaming in water. It should
also be used for a cleaning process. The next step is
to produce cavitation in liquid metals.
The pressure distribution can be calculated by FEM.
We are using CAPA, a FEM package wich also deals with
nonlinear acoustics, like shock formation wich is
important if you want to look at cavitation.
The progam is described on the following homepage.
http://www.lse.uni-erlangen.de/CAPA/index.htm

I am very interested in your problem. May be you
could provide more detailed information for further
discussion since our projects sound very simular to
mine.

yours
