UT T-Scan Technique

Good day everybody;
Anybody can tell me:
• about T-Scan Ultrasonic technique.
• Can it be used on piping systems (process piping) in the plants?
• Guidance of manufacturing companies for the machine used for this technique.
• Differendce between T-Scan & D-Scan.
• Any useful informations and web links about T & D scan.

Cheers!!!

T-scan is possibly just another "pet" name for wall thickness monitoring, T = thickness, especially if this is for wall thickness assessment of process pipework. If so then the major ultrasonic inspection companies (and this site) will be able to provide you reams of information on equipment, techniques. Google GE Inspection Technologies, Sonatest for starters.

Re: UT T-Scan Technique
Hi,
T scan(Thickness scan) is the corrosion map view, and the use for piping systems depends of the UT system configuration to be used. Try see www.p-scan.com
Regards,
Manfred

Re: UT T-Scan Technique
Manfred is correct.

Sonatest also use T-Scan when descibing the corrosion map that their rapidScan software produces.

mances of portable X-Ray sets. Despite having managed to halve the weight of similar portable X-Ray generators available on the market (while continuing to provide the same power output), the SITEX CPSERIES generators feature a shutter, a laser pointer, a beryllium window, an aluminum filter and two integrated diaphragms (customized sizes are available upon request). Without compromising the robustness and reliability for which ICM products are renowned, the small size and light weight of the SITEX CPSERIES will radically change the way that you perform your RT inspections. And you will see a positive impact in terms of both quality and return on investment (ROI).
