TOFD as an immersion technique

Hello,

I would like to have some informations about the TOFD technique for in situ measurements (into the sea, or in a tank). Is there some rule? I suppose that we have to use the Snell's law for the conversion of the probes angle.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Re: TOFD as an immersion technique
Hello Joseph Batt,

I think you can use a calibration standard whit similar metal whit defects knowledge to test before test in situ and make a calibration curve.
