Penetrant Testing

I have few questions regarding Penetrant Testing,

1. What is the nature of Penetrant and Developer, i.e.,whether
they are acid or base
2. What is the suitable cleaning method for dry developers?
3. Preheating the Penetrant/Specimen is recommended or not, what
is the effect of preheating?
4. What is the relationship between Dragoutloss and viscosity
5. How the rate of penetration is related to Viscosity, Specific
gravity and surface tension
6. What method shall be employed to inspect out side weld of
open ethelene storage tank
7. What is the suitable cleaning method for metals, rusted and
scaled surfaces
If any one knows the correct answer, please send you email

NEW! The PragmaPro Instrument Platform

The PragmaPro is based on a modular cartridge technology and supports various NDT instrument modal
...
ities such as UT, PAUT, ECT and many more. This new platform is based on a machined, powder-coated aluminum frame for shock-proofness, best sealing qualities and maximum heat dissipation. This is practical to extend the outdoor temperature range and/or to extend the power injected in the transducers. The PragmaPro is aiming at a very wide range of applications, such as weld scanning, corrosion mapping and composite testing.

or the train wheel. This system secures a sound condition of train wheels and is thus a significant contribution to rail transport safety. The device was delivered to CAF recently and its use allows the manufacturer to become an approved supplier of rolling stock in Italy, as it meets the demanding homologation standards of this country. \\\\r\\\\n

SONOAIR - air-coupled Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection System

For highly attenuating materials, the performance of the system is critical. The ultrasonic sensors,
...
the scanning area and the system settings should be flexibly adapted to the test task and the material. These high expectations are met with the new and modular testing system SONOAIR. With the world’s first air-coupled phased-array UT inspection system SONOAIR we developed a technology that works with up to 4 transmitter and receiver channels with freely configurable square wave burst transmitters as wells as low noise receiving amplifiers.
