Lenz's law

I am doing a physics report on Lenz's law, and have found
very little to date. I was wondering if anyone had any
information on his law and its applications?

Do a search of the web and I think you'll find several sites that describe Lenz's Law. From what I've read so far, it describes the resistance to change of magnetic fields.

.lenz's law relates to electric current flowing in a magnetically inductive conductive circuit, and it states that when for some reason the electric current changes then an electric potential is induced within the circuit so as to oppose the change which is occurring. you could perhaps imagine that there is a magnetic field associated with the passage of the electic current and of course when the current changes so will the magnetic field. the change in the magnetic field induces the opposing 'electromotive force' (emf).

in mathematical terms induced emf = - L dI/dT
where L = inductance
I = current
T = time
and the minus sign is lenz's law.
