International NDT Quals PCN vs. CSWIP

Dear Colleagues,

I am entertaining the idea of getting my ISO certifications outside of my native country and was wondering where the work is for PCN and CSWIP markets.

As a north american, I am unaware of which method would benefit me most, and which system is more widely accepted (as I intend to travel with my tickets)

any conversation on the matter would be most welcome.

main thing is 'are you capable of doing job/experience'
so many countries not accepting pcn/cswip, they have there own systems. accp is good example.

I totally agree with you Nigel. This forum should be a way for ALL NDT Technician from around the world to be able to come and have a chance to better themselves through the mentorship and fellowship of fellow technicians. One has to remember that we are all from different walks of life and that we live in different countries with different rules. As well, we sometimes are not in a position to influence changes in regulations. The best we can do is to be dilligent and have good work ettics. Remember that at the end of the day, the decisions we made, the inspections we did and the reports we signed will impact the life of other human being tremendously.

One shouldn't gauge himself by how good they are, but by how much of a positive difference I have in my profession.

Cheerios,
Michel

I agree that some of the judgement in Delmon's post abuse British PCN holders so for that reason I cut this sentence. Other part of the post gave answer or was a personal opinion to the original question "International NDT Quals PCN vs. CSWIP posted by : David Hermanutz ". In general I would like to support everyone's right of freedom of opinion and expression.

Let us continue to discuss this interesting education topic in good manners.

Re: International NDT Quals PCN vs. CSWIP
OK better we stop arguing here. It’s not good what iam thinking about the certification? It maybe good (all the certification) if we know something about the topic /subject. But sure the certification is bad if we don't know anything and we not interested to do. All the certification bodies are training the people and giving the certificate (some times with out also) as an employer who cares the certificate? Really iam not. If some one knows the job and some one interested to do we can make certificate for them. Finally employer is the authority. So everywhere bad and good things lets enjoy our life with good things
Regards
