This role presents an exciting opportunity to join TWI’s expanding training group at a level where you can play a leading role in its development and success; shaping its operations to meet customer and business needs.

The Chief Examiner has responsibility for working with a team to oversee the preparation, conduct and marking of examinations delivered world-wide and ensuring that standards are maintained and procedures properly applied throughout the Group and its associates. The imperative is to provide outstanding customer service, but with a business focus that will support the continued expansion and success of the organisation. A background of implementing and managing change will prove essential in the sustainability and development of new business.

Liaison with Senior Managers inoverseas subsidiaries is important and some international travel will be necessary.

Key attributes include:

• A minimum of at least one PCN Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Other welding and NDT qualifications are an advantage as is knowledge of e-assessment and learning management systems.
• Strong team working approach with the ability to get the best from out of a team.
• Effective communication skills combined with astute customer awareness.
• Ability to get things done.
• A proven ability of continuous improvement and quality assurance.
• Good business sense with a desire to generate income and control costs to produce a profitable operation.
• Exposure to an Engineering training environment and an interest in skills development are beneficial, but not essential.
