V.I.P. Inspection Port System

Back in 1991 - 1992 I purchased a system for installing inspection ports in insulation on aboverground storage tanks. The system uses a Greenlee hydraluic press to expand a metal grommet in the insulation and then a removable plug is inserted into the ring creating a permanent inspection port. When I bought the system the company I was working for at the time purchased several thousand metal grommets and plugs which have lasted me until today. Now I have no idea where to go to purchase more of these components or if the system is still available. Does anyone know anything about VIP?? I did some web searches and came up empty.

Mike, check out this site. The system is much better, less expensive, and faster to install. I haven't seen any of those grommets in a long time. : Back in 1991 - 1992 I purchased a system for installing inspection ports in insulation on aboverground storage tanks. nresolved asset integrity problem in the industry. Current methods for measuring wall thickness with liftoff, without removing insulation, all have severe limitations. Eddyfi introduces Lyft — a reinvented, high-performance pulsed eddy current (PEC) solution. The patent- pending system features a state-of-the-art portable instrument, real- time C-scan imaging, fast data acquisition with grid-mapping and dynamic scanning modes, and flexibility with long cables. It can also scan through thick metal and insulation, as well as aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel weather jackets. Who else but Eddyfi to reinvent an eddy current technique and redefine CUI programs. Got Lyft?
