ndt in thailand

hi everyone,

I am researching the possibility to find a ndt job in thailand. Can anyone help me? I am looking for information about ndt companies located in thailand and expected salaries.
I have levels in eddy current and am specialised in inspecting tubes with eddy current and UT. Do I have any change to succeed?
Any other information or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

simon

Re: ndt in thailand
Simon,

I was working in Thailand in ’98 and I only left because the Asian economic crisis dried up all the work. The economic situation has gotten better however it still has a long way to go before the economy is booming again.

I have spent the past three years waiting for a Job to open back up in Thailand. It is very doubtful you could get a technician job in Thailand as the local technicians are very capable and of course cheaper than we expats. Most the jobs in Thailand and Asia will be for supervisory or management positions.

If you want to work overseas, you need luck and as qualifications I recommend Level III and/or API certs.

I will not say it's impossible, but at this moment it is very difficult.

Kindest Regards
