UT in Alloys

My company is trying to find a consistent way to UT in alloys (sensitivity). Using conventional pulse echo A-scans would it help to do a transfer correction calibration to account for the attenuation loss from the cal block to the actual part?

hi
UT in alloys - In this case, calibration block material would be same as your actual job. In my site any alloys{or TMCP m/l} want to do UT, customer provides the same material to make calibration blocks.

Yes, you can use transfer correction.
