Developing Inspection strategy for Non-Metalic static equipment's

Dear all,

Usually we used to carry out RBI analysis for Metallic equipment and classify non-metallic equipments as Non-RBI equipments.

Based on criticality and our experience with the equipments (history, Mean time between failure.. etc) we used to assign the inspection frequency for Non-RBI equipments.

But now a day the requirements and the Risk’s are higher, So we required more precise analysis.

Can anyone help me to develop additional inspection strategy for Non-Metalic static equipment's.

1. Apart from visual Inspection, what are the other methods for inspection.(additional
technique for insp.)
2. Is there any way to calculate the probability failure factor.
3. What all should be done before assigning inspection frequency.
4. Can i go for time based inspection for these equipment's as some other plants do.

Any help would be appreciated.
