Omniscan air intake fan troubleshooting.

The air intake fan for the omniscan mx is supposed to run all the time when it's on, or it has a temperature sensor that switches it on and off?

I need to check this before sending it back to olympus for maintenance.

If anyone could please give an insight on this matter, it would be most helpfull.
