PAUT in Inconel cladding

Hai Experts,
Is PAUT possible for the following joints..

1)Volumetric examination and bond line integrity check in cladded area.

cladded Pipe OD/Material=24"/ API 5L X65
Cladding material & thickness=Inconel 625 & 4.3 mm thickness.
Is there any special Probe like DMA or DLA required?

2)Volumetric Examination in butt joint/similar welds

Butt joint= similar welds ,single 'V' between cladded pipe and cladded hanger flange.

Hi Sreejith,
Have a look on this interesting article from Carlo Romito and Frederic Jacques :

If the weld is CS, you can use PAUT - shear wave but limited to the 1/2 vee mode. So that will mean removal of weld cap to get full weld coverage. And since it is CS you can add TOFD

nresolved asset integrity problem in the industry. Current methods for measuring wall thickness with liftoff, without removing insulation, all have severe limitations. Eddyfi introduces Lyft — a reinvented, high-performance pulsed eddy current (PEC) solution. The patent- pending system features a state-of-the-art portable instrument, real- time C-scan imaging, fast data acquisition with grid-mapping and dynamic scanning modes, and flexibility with long cables. It can also scan through thick metal and insulation, as well as aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel weather jackets. Who else but Eddyfi to reinvent an eddy current technique and redefine CUI programs. Got Lyft?
