PAUT DATA NOISE

Greetings to everyone
I have a doubt regarding paut data
Today when I collect my PAUT data in a pipeline ,there was a lot of electrical noise like signals coming. In C scan it's full of doted pixels. There was no welding on that line and no other hot works.Electrically also isolated.I was using omniscan mx2 .Can anyone tell me from where it's coming and how can I solve this issue?

Thanks.

Check the scanner motors
All equipment should be connected to common ground

Do you have same noise on the cal blocks? Is the noise happen before start the scan or only it comes during scaning? Is the power chargers connect to equipment ?

I had exactly the same, it looked like indications flying through the sector scan.
The solution was to use a filter (10MHz low pass on this case).

A likely cause is too high of PRF/Scanning speed. Optimize your setup (range, gates etc.) or lower PRF/Scanning speed.

No outside power connected to the system except omniscan scans battery

I am using 5L64A12 probe with filter none.
As you said can we use 10 MHZ filter for this probe?
Is there any criteria for choosing filter for a particular frequency?

PRF is already at minimum as possible.and setup optimised for range and gates ,still noise is present.
I am using linear scan with aperture 16 for 4 groups also having tofd group.

Choose the filter before calibration and pick whatever filter gives you the best signal.

Have you tried Scan>>Scan Speed . Lower it till the noise disappears. If nothing works, sometimes it is just best to restart with a fresh new setup and it will magically disappear. Or if you figure out how you did, please share it here.

Use averaging. Electrical noise is random, averaging will help smooth things out, but will lower your scan speed.
