I am looking for a table of db change for different diameters SDH. 1, 2, 2.5 and 3 mm.
Thanks

Reading your request I First thought: Typical question to be answered in the famous Josef Krautkramer - Book "Ultrasonic Testing of Materials" He had put some nice graphics and thumb rules in his book, which I always used in my UT-Lessons.

Next - reading the link to this older post of Ed. Ginzel referencing Ermolov made me think: You should use CIVA simulation software to get the full insight into this topic.

But you may simply follow the link to the page of the CIVA makers EXTENDE:
Here you find lot of stuff:

http://www.extende.com/ut-sdh-side-drilled-holes-at-different-depths-and-contact-probes
http://www.extende.com/ut-sdh-side-drilled-holes-at-different-depths-and-immersion-probes
http://www.extende.com/comparison-fbh-sdh

It is not easy to access those pages just directly from the EXTENDE Homepage (http://www.extende.com/) but if you look for the sitemap (http://www.extende.com/site-map) you may have a view about all the helpful information they offer under the headline "Experimental validation of models in UT"

SONOAIR - air-coupled Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection System

For highly attenuating materials, the performance of the system is critical. The ultrasonic sensors,

the scanning area and the system settings should be flexibly adapted to the test task and the material. These high expectations are met with the new and modular testing system SONOAIR. With the world’s first air-coupled phased-array UT inspection system SONOAIR we developed a technology that works with up to 4 transmitter and receiver channels with freely configurable square wave burst transmitters as wells as low noise receiving amplifiers.
