PCN AND ISO

Dear experts,

What is the difference between BS EN ISO9712:2012 and EN 473?

Can we use ISO9712 LEVEL II Wherever pcn was asked by recruiter?

Seenikumaran,
to answer your questions:
- In 2010 the process was started to replace EN 473:2008 by a revised version of ISO 9712:2005 as a combined EN ISO standard.
This the actual version now (EN ISO 9712 is identical to ISO 9712):
ISO 9712:2012, Non-destructive testing - Qualification and certification of NDT personnel.
By this date the European Standard EN 473 has been withdrawn.

- ISO 9712 is an International Standard only, whereas PCN is a certification scheme run by the BINDT.
More national certification schemes are based on ISO 9712.

With best regards
