Pipe Calibration Blocks

What is the minimum pipe calibration block length for Phased Array UT? ASME SEC V says 8" or 8T whichever is greater. But the block manufacturer says 12" is the minimum.

Pratik,

You can also reference Fig T-434.3-2 for the alternate block where there is no minimum length defined; merely that the block length and arc be adequate.

This was one of the design considerations for the ERVW piping blocks from PH Tool.
